Whitewater Rafting on the Seboomook River

This is a great white water rafting trip on the Seboomook River in Maine. This awesome class 3 river may be the best in Maine. What makes it so great, the clean drops and the great surfing. The Seboomook River is characterized by cool little drops followed by a calm pool. This gives our guides plenty of time to set up for each rapid making it an extremely safe river to bring your young one rafting for the first time.

Fun Yaks on the Seboomook River

A Fun Yak is an inflatable kayak, often described as a cross between a whitewater kayak and a whitewater raft. They're very stable and easy to paddle. Fun yaks are available to rent for flat-water kayaking on your own or sign up for a trip. A registered Maine Whitewater Guide accompanies you on the Seboomook River with lots of Class III whitewater and plenty of surfing.

The Family Overnight Rafting Trips at Penobscot Adventures

We start out at Ripagenous Dam on the first day and take our time running the river. We stop and scout rapids with you before we run them, surf more than usual, and even give you some time in the guide seat. We stop at a beach called Salmon Point for the night. Our guides serve wonderful meals cooked over the campfire, while you relax in the wilderness. We have smores, songs, and stories (BYOB, if you're of age). The next day we tackle the rest of the river. Once off the river it's back to base for a slide and video show of your adventure.

Maine Paintball

A great game, paintball promotes communication and teamwork. Rules are very flexible, and games can accommodate almost any number of players. We love to play in pick-up games. The fee covers gun rental, safety equipment rental, and paint. Paintball is offered during the day for six or more players, or free play games start nightly at 5:00.
