As the owner of wilderness travel program, I am primarily concerned with safety - but also concerned with providing a quality experience for our students.
Parents have an expectation that we will only work with outfitters with exceptional safety records and with the best guides - who know the river and enjoy working with young people. After researching various Maine outfitters, talking with regulatory agencies and checking references - it was clear that all rafting outfitters are not created equal. The safety record, family atmosphere and quality of their guides made Penobscot Adventures stand alone.
I have been working with Dan, Maureen and Bob since I first started running trips in Maine and the rafting part of our trips continue to be the highlight of the summer for our students. Penobscot Adventures is able to deliver the perfect balance of fun, instruction and quality for our students.

Penobscot Adventures allows you to add activities to your summer camp without the overhead. Whether you use us for a day excursion or multi-day adventure, we can put together packages that will help you attract more campers. Out whitewater rafting and inflatable kayaking trips on the Seboomook and West Branch sections of the Penobscot River are camp favorites. We also have rock climbing, whitewater kayaking lessons, and paintball.
Penobscot Adventures offers no stand alone youth camp services. We don't compete with your youth summer camp, but we are focused on providing your camp with the safest, most diversified activities and adventures available.
