Rock Climbing Instruction
Maine Climbing Trips with Penobscot Adventures.
Exciting and challenging, rock climbing offers a great adrenaline rush and a refreshing workout. Our guides use a simple top rope system that is virtually fool proof, keeping the trip very safe. Climbing generally lasts all day, includes a bag lunch, an finishes off with repelling, just like in the movies. This is a terrific trip for all ages and climbing abilities. If you're looking for an alternative activity on your vacation, rock climbing is one of the favorites.
Please note that we need at least 6 people booked on the rock climbing trip before we go. If you have fewer numbers than this, then please contact us early so that we can place you on another scheduled climb if your preferred day doesn't work out.

The Rock and Roll Package at Penobscot Adventures
A great package for corporate team building, youth groups, and families, rock climbing and rafting go great together.
A team sport, whitewater rafting teaches group cooperation. Penobscot Adventures has a great safety record. Our guides keep it that way by getting their guests to work as a team.
Each guide will have the rafts paddling together, learning and demonstrating basic rafting rescue techniques, and give different people the chance to lead the paddling cadence. A good rafting trip ends with everyone feeling exhilarated and part of the team.
Climbing focuses on individual skills, group motivation of an individual, and partner trust. The guides demonstrate the basic outfitting techniques and climbing skills. Climbing gives people the chance to show what they have, and coach their friends to have more. Often when you climb the reward isn't the summit, but the struggle of getting there.
One day of Climbing in Maine and one day of Penobscot River Rafting

- June $169 per person
- July and August $179 weekdays, $189 Weekends
